Byron Bay is a town in the state of New South Wales on the eastern most point of the mainland of Australia, with a population of around 30,000 people. It is a popular hangout with surfers due to the great waves and dolphins are often spotted in the off shore.
It’s located around 140km south of Brisbane and 600km north of Sydney. If you go make sure you do a surf course - guaranteed you’ll be standing and riding a wave before the end of the lesson!
