Is there a perfect template?
There’s a lot of speculation regarding what is the perfect template for your CVs and it can make it difficult for you to decide which format is best to use. We still think the template below is best to use:
Address
Nationality |
|
|
Phone no. Email address Date of birth |
Profile
(A short summary about you and why you are right for the particular job you are applying for - this needs to be tailored for each job spec)
Degree
Degree title
Uni name
Start date
End Date
Degree Classification (or expected)
A Levels
GCSE’s
(if you are applying for a job in your first/second year you may just want to include A Levels and GCSE’s)
Work Experience
Other Experience/Skills
Interests (make this unique - if you’ve gone skydiving put it down. You need to differentiate yourself from every other student applying for that job

If you’re a member of Money4Students you can use our special CV template online (find this in the Member's Area). All you have to do is click on ‘edit CV’ and you will be taken to a form where you can enter info in the boxes, and then click on ‘update CV’ when you’re done.
There are 2 huge advantages to this:
1) We host your CV online for you and let you know what the link is to your CV so you can give this link to potential employers so that they can easily view your CV (anywhere across the world). This is especially useful if you’re applying for a job in the states etc.
2) If you click on ‘My CV’ you can view your CV anywhere you are in the world (great if you’re travelling and applying for jobs when you get back home. You can ‘copy and paste’ all of the information into Microsoft Word and it will put it into a template for you automatically so that you can print your CV.
This makes creating your CV a doddle, you can easily edit it at any time, print it out to give to employers and you have a nifty little link to give out for people to view it online - best of all it’s absolutely FREE and we don’t share your data with anyone else.
