Here is the definitive list of uni essentials:

• Kettle (especially if you're in self-catered halls)
• Sandwich Toaster (Ditto)
• Toaster
• Pots/Pans/Plates/Cutlery etc.
• Toilet Paper (Chances are no one else will remember)
• Posters & Blu-Tak (Personalise your empty room)
• PC/Laptop
• Printer (Printer/Scanner/Copier All-in-1 machines come in pretty handy)
• Paper for your new printer!
• Files/plastic wallets etc to keep your notes organised
• Stapler, hole punch, etc.
• Digital Camera
• Iron
• Hangers (in case you have no hangers left in your wardrobe)
• Condoms (safe sex guys)
• Bedding
• Painkillers (for those mid-week hangovers)
• Passport Photos (for those student cards)
• Air Freshner (keep your room smelling nice)
• TV & aerial
• Stereo/Hi-Fi (you need a sound system of some sort!)
• Freeview box (so you can keep up to date with E4 and have music channels in your room!)
